Prayer request for Christians

Global Christian Relief (GCR, formerly Open Doors), which helps persecuted Christians in Central Asia, East Asia, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, held a live broadcast on the 10th (local time) to mark the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

President Curry emphasized, “Persecution and oppression of Christians have increased over the past 15 years. We must recognize this and do our part.” He lamented, “Many Westerners are well aware of the plight of Christians in Nigeria. Various human rights activists consider this place one of the most dangerous places for believers. On the other hand, Nepal seems to be a place that most people do not pay attention to.”

He continued, “One of the reasons is that reports of Christian persecution in Nigeria generally involve more physical violence and attract more attention. However, even if the level of violence in Nepal is not the same as in Nigeria, Christians in South Asian countries still face persecution,” he said.

Although Nepal is no longer a Hindu country, Nepali Christians face threats of being attacked by their families or even kicked out of their homes for believing in Christ. The government also oppresses Christians through anti-conversion laws and church closures. Many Nepalis are illiterate and rely on oral communication, making it difficult for local Christians to read the Bible.

Like other nations, persecution of Christianity is becoming more severe in Nepal. The Lord is listening to all the pain and suffering of Nepal.

He said that there is a blessing when persecution becomes more severe because of faith in Jesus Christ. Please remember the Nepalese Christians who keep their faith to the end despite all the persecution and difficulties. Please give them the strength and ability to overcome all difficulties.

May the Nepalese people spread the gospel even in the midst of persecution and become a nation that prepares the Lord's second coming from the highest place!

We believe that when we overcome countless persecutions and difficulties, we will finally enjoy the glory of victory with God in heaven!

May the Nepalese army that overcomes and triumphs in the last days rise up!!!

May the Nepalese people who boldly spread the gospel to all nations rise up!!!
