[Field Story] 9 Pakistanis killed, 3 injured in mass shooting in Southeastern Iran

Iran's semi-official news agency Mehr News reported that gunmen killed nine Pakistani nationals and wounded three others in southeastern Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan province on the 27th (local time).

The shooting occurred in the region's Saravan County, and police were immediately dispatched to the scene, Deputy Governor for Security and Justice Alireza Marhamati said at a press conference, Mehr news agency reported.

He said, through the testimony of the wounded Pakistanis, that three gunmen entered the house where the foreigners lived and opened fire before they fled.

Deputy Governor Marhamati strongly condemned their crime, calling it a "terrorist crime" and expressed condolences to the victims' families and the people of Pakistan. At the same time, he promised to thoroughly investigate this incident and thoroughly identify all culprits and those behind it.

The Mehr News Agency reported that no individual or group has yet been identified as having led the shooting and killings.

Just as you sent the Son of God to reconcile God and sinners, may you unite the divided countries of Iran and Pakistan that have turned against each other through the cross of Jesus and allow them to become a channel for spreading the joy of the gospel.

May the fear of terrorism and war in Iran and Pakistan come to an end and may they be filled with God's grace and peace, so that people all places can praise and worship only God, the King of all things.
