[Field Story] China becomes the first country to recognize the Taliban regime in Afghanistan
China accepted the new ambassador to Afghanistan, becoming the first country in the international community to officially recognize the Afghan Taliban government.
Chinese President Xi Jinping received credentials from ambassadors from 42 countries, including the new Afghan Ambassador Bilal Karimi, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing the day before.
As a result, it became the first country in the international community to accept an ambassador from the Taliban government since the Taliban returned to power in August 2021
In response to the question "Does China officially recognize the Taliban government?" at a regular briefing on the same day, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin responded, "China accepts the new ambassador to China dispatched by the Afghan provisional government and the authentic copy of the national policy enacted by the Chinese national leader. “This is a normal diplomatic procedure,” he said.
After retaking power in 2021, the Taliban changed the name of the country from 'Islamic Republic of Afghanistan' to 'Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan' and restricted women's education, citing Islamic law.
The international community is reluctant to recognize the Taliban government, but China is expanding its influence by expressing support for the Taliban and strengthening economic cooperation.

We desire for the water and blood that spilled on this land, to be sprinkled in Afghanistan. Souls of this land desire to see Jesus, whom ripped the curtain of the temple and opened the way of life.
Let the world be merciful to Afghanistan, to reverse its wrong reign and ideology, and let world leaders work for God's reign.
Also, when the global church prays with God's heart, may this dry and weary land be filled with the history of the Holy Spirit.
The Lamb that was killed for the land that is covered in pain because of poverty and rottenness, may the day come quickly when they confess and praise that Jesus is the son of God.
