Helo, I am Azfa, Persian refugee who lives in Turkiye.
Not long ago, I met a Christian by coincidence and heard about Jesus for the first time.
It was fascinating, and every time I hear about Jesus, I had a feeling of my heart being comfortable so I met with them often, but as a Hazara tribe people, I did not have the faith to change religion yet in a strong Islamic society.
Recently, however, I visited the hospital because my body was not in a good condition and kept losing weight, and shockingly, I was diagnosed with gastric cancer.
Fear struck upon me. In the sight of death, my heart was drying up each day, because of fear of death, I felt helpless that there was nothing I can hold on to.
Then one day, something unbelievable happened to me. A person wearing white clothes appeared at night and puts his hand on my head and heals my body.
I felt like I was being comforted, not just physically but also my dried up heart as well. I continued to cry and I knew this person was Jesus.
I became a Christian who accepted Jesus Christ. My body was feeble, but my heart felt like it was reborn.
I praise the Lord who saved my body and heart. Not only just me, but also my children and family also believe in Jesus; who is the true savior. We pray together that we only hope for the everlasting kingdom of God.
Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. (Luke 18:42-43)
Hallelujah! Praise God for not only healing the sickness but also for leading one soul to salvation.
Thank you for coming to brother Azfa’s life, who was helpless from illness, and was in fear of death.
Only Jesus has the power of salvation and the power of life. He is the God who not only drives out fear, but also has the power to overcome death and allow us to become a new creation.
We desire for brother Azfa to meet God daily. We desire for brother Azfa to not only see that God is working to save him, but he also restores and renews his family and nation.
Even though believing Jesus in strong Islamic society will bring persecution and tribulation, would you pour out firm faith that is unshakable.
Let the people of Hazara see the glory of God through the living testimony given to this brothers. Let the days of Persian refugees in Turkiye praise the glory of God.
