[Field Story] Iran, through Superbook, the gospel also affects children and families

Mission Network recently reported that the Christian missionary organization Heart4Iran is broadcasting the animated TV show Superbook in Iran, and that the children who are accepting the gospel and experiencing change through it are also having an impact on their families.

Superbook, produced by the Christian Broadcasting Network, has been bringing Bible stories to life for children around the world for over 40 years. Now, Heartforan is translating Superbook into Persian, episode by episode.

Jennifer said, “My sister and I would come home and talk to my mom about Jesus without knowing that we were witnessing to him. When my mom saw our reaction, she started going to church and reading the Bible. That’s how salvation came to our family.”

The Heartforan team often receives calls from parents who tell us about the impact Superbooks have had on their children's behavior. Parents say they want their children to be better people and that they are inspired to see true good and evil.

“We also get a lot of messages from parents asking for Bibles for their children,” Jennifer said. “After watching a few episodes, their kids get so interested and captivated by the show that they want to have their own Bible and read it.”

A girl named Yalda called the Hartfoyran team to vent her deeper concerns.

“I want to accept Jesus,” Yarda said. “But I’m worried about my uncle. He doesn’t read Superbook. He’s addicted to drugs and I’m afraid he’ll go to hell.”

The team is helping Yarda take new steps in faith and encouraging him to pray for his uncle.

Through a network called SuperBooks, a generation of children in Iran is proclaiming the gospel in their homes, and through their lips, a generation of parents is being saved.

Praise the Lord for His amazing work of salvation in the land of Iran in His own way!

Let the house churches of faith in Iran rise up and praise God's name with song and exalt Him with thanksgiving!

We believe You desire the worship of Iranian souls more than anything else.

God, save the unsaved souls in this land and raise up a holy generation that will sing to You and worship You in a way that is pleasing to You.

Break the addictions and lies that bind the land of Iran, and arise, children of the Lord, who come boldly before His throne and worship Him with joy!
