[Field Story] It is time for grace, a time for salvation, Saudi Arabia,

Hi I'm Yostina, a Sudanese national living in Saudi Arabia.

I have Sudanese nationality but I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia.

My father worked as an imam in a mosque, so we lived in a private house next to the mosque. I met some Koreans who were recruiting for Korean language classes, and I was invited to join them. I was interested in Korean culture, so I agreed.

When I was in Korean class, I always made sure to pray Islamic prayers during every break, so people around me knew as a strong Islamic believer.

After working hard in the class and completing it, I continued to interact with Koreans and share my life with them, and it was natural for me to realize that they were Christians.

Time passed and I was invited to a Christmas party, which I didn't attend because my Muslim identity was clear, but the following year I was invited again.

Suddenly, I remembered my trip to Egypt, and I remembered the Christmas decorations, and I remembered the churches I saw in Egypt, so I was curious about the Christmas party and decided to go.

The Christmas party was an open worship service, sharing the birth of the baby Jesus and celebrating the birth of Jesus, and I had a great time, not uncomfortable.

And whenever there was a worship meeting, I was invited so I went, and I enjoyed attending and worshipping with them because it was not a burden for me.

Recently, there was time of holding hands and praying together, as I shared my prayer requests, and some of prayers were answered.

My life is lonely and nothing special, but every time I had fellowship, talk, and befriend someone, every time I hear the gospel, every time God's word is shared, every time the grace of the cross is shared, I felt my heart responding.

I want to know more about the seeds of the Word being planted and growing. Please pray for me so that I will come to know Jesus, who wants to know the real truth and hears my prayers!

For he says,“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”. I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)

Amen! Praise the Lord for allowing us to see that now is time and a day of salvation.

Thank you Lord for bringing the name of Jesus into the lonely and unremarkable life of Yostina, and allowing the Spirit to respond and grant her a heart that desires to draw near to Your Word and truth.

We desire for Yostina to fulfills all the desires of her heart when she comes to know the name of Jesus, one by one, through the Word, through prayer, through building a relationship with God and knowing His love day by day.

We believe that the day of salvation has already begun in her life! Allow her to experience the joy of salvation!

Through the life of Yostina, may the time of salvation come to Saudi Arabia and to all peoples, so that they may praise You with joy!
