[Field Story] Japan, a Witness of Jesus among All Nations

(The photo above is not related to the content.)

Hello, I am Suzuki who lives in Japan.

Until now, I had been living a life without hope, but I came to realize the true truth at the age of seventy.

My father passed away early, and my mother also passed away from cancer.

My mother diligently ran a buckwheat noodle shop that had been passed down for several generations, but my father was addicted to gambling and had no interest in the shop.

I vowed never to live like my father, and I lived diligently for many years while taking care of my sick mother-in-law, but my wife also got cancer and I was left alone.

To fill my lonely heart, I drew pictures, collected decorations, and filled my house with various items, but nothing could fill my heart.

Then one day, I was diagnosed with cancer at the hospital.

The cancer that started in my lungs spread to my tongue and brain, so I spent all my savings on treatment costs and started working as a security guard at a building.

The owner of a store I regularly visited found out about my difficult situation and reached out to me to work with him. After working together for a short while, the owner asked me if I wanted to go to church with him.

It was the first time I had ever been to a church, and when I listened to the worship, I cried without realizing it. And when the pastor prayed for me at the end, I cried endlessly.

After going to church for a few weeks, the pastor suggested that we study about God and be nurtured in the Word.

While I was being nurtured, I felt like something that had been confusing my mind was leaving, and my mind suddenly became clear.

After being discipled, I accepted Jesus as my savior and was baptized.

I met hope in the midst of despair, and by meeting the living Jesus at the door of death, I came to hope for the kingdom of God.

Please pray with me so that I can now be used as a channel of the gospel and a channel of blessing to those who are hopeless and in despair.

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2)

God who loves Brother Suzuki so much, there were repeated despairs and sorrows in Suzuki's life, but the good God did not leave Him alone. We praise God that through the owner of his regular store, he went to church, and now he met God and has been raised up and guided as a person who knows the Lord!

We are so grateful to the Lord for saving Brother Suzuki who was in despair, and we believe that the Lord is so pleased with Suzuki who now confesses that he wants to live for the gospel to reach those who live in despair!

We believe that Brother Suzuki will now be used for the kingdom of God.

Therefore, please shine the bright light of Jesus Christ on those who are lonely and in despair like Brother Suzuki, so that they too may meet the living Lord who saved and restored Suzuki!

Just as Jesus came to this land as a peace offering, please use Brother Suzuki as a channel of the gospel and a channel of blessing that will bring reconciliation between Japan and God!

Through Brother Suzuki, may the Japanese church rise up in missions revival and send out 500,000 missionaries to all nations!
