[Field Story] Now is the time of grace and the day of salvation, Tunisia
(The photo above is unrelated to the content.)
Hello, my name is Amal and I live in Tunisia.
I have a daughter with intellectual disability. To take care of my daughter, I work two shifts a day at the bank as a janitor.
Because she always needs someone's care, my retired husband watches my daughter every day.
One day, when I was barely surviving, taking care of my daughter on a small salary, I came across Christians.
Their faces were full of happiness, and I shared to them my difficult and tiring situation.
Then, the Christians told me about Jesus. It was that Jesus, the Son of God, loves me.
They then prayed for me and my family, and something amazing happened after that. That very winter, my third and fourth daughters accepted Jesus.
After witnessing how the love of Jesus Christ, which I had only heard with half an ear, and their prayers changed our family, I became curious about what kind of person Jesus really is.
Afterwards, I met the Christians again and accepted Jesus. I am still afraid to tell people around me that I have become a Christian, but please pray so that my family's faith can grow well.
I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy. (Psalm 123:1-2)
Hallelujah! Heavenly Father who loves Tunisia,
Thank you for giving Sister Amal and her family the grace of accepting Jesus as their Savior, when Sister Amal was so struggling with her life, taking care of her disabled daughter and working so hard as a janitor.
Lord, when we lift up our eyes to you, you always respond with mercy.
We pray for greater grace and for your presence in Sister Amal’s life, now that she has become your servant.
More than anything, Sister Amal is praying for the growth of faith in her family.
We pray that you would accept her precious heart that desires to know you more with her family, and that you would bless and anoint this family.
As a church that only loves Jesus, may this family lead their neighbors and all the people they encounter to the Lord.
So, may more house churches be established in Tunisia, and may the sounds of praising Jesus fill every corner of the city!
May Jesus Christ, the King of Tunisia, be forever exalted.
