[Field Story] Palestine, becoming children of the living God

(The photo above is unrelated to the content.)

Hello, my name is Lujan and I am Palestinian.

I was born a Muslim, but my skepticism about Islam grew as I saw Islam's strong and oppressive laws, and especially seeing the recent war.

While I was refusing to wear the hijab because I thought there was no need to follow religious laws that were not the truth, I came to know Jesus through a Christian friend.

My friend was also once a Muslim like me, but accepted Jesus and became a Christian a few years ago.

My friend told me that when they were struggling with skepticism about Islam just like me, Jesus came to them and changed their life. They told me that Jesus is the living God.

Seeing this friend's transformed life, I also grew expectations for Jesus, and so I followed my friend to a worship meeting.

By reading the Word and singing praises, I was able to get to know Jesus, the Son of God, more.

I continued to attend worship services and decided to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

Although I have accepted Jesus by faith, when I look at my sinful self, I sometimes feel afraid of whether I will be able to truly serve the Lord.

However, I believe that the Lord, who is true love, guided the confession of my heart.

Please pray with me that I will encounter the great love of the Lord and that my life will be one of serving the Lord with all my heart.

“And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’” (Romans 9:26).

Though many souls have been sacrificed in the recent wars in Palestine, we thank you Lord, for allowing us to hear the news of souls like Sister Lujan who have realized the lies of Islam and come to the gospel.

Through the changed life of the friend who first accepted Jesus, we believe that even in the midst of war, the Holy Spirit powerfully guided Sister Lujan and allowed her to grow expectation and longing for Jesus and come to worship gatherings.

May there be continual changes brought in Sister Lujan’s life through Jesus and may this be a strong evidence and testimony for the Palestinian souls who see and hear this to also believe in Jesus, the Son of the living God.

May you also fill Palestine with the grace of cultivating the joy of becoming a child of the living God by believing in Jesus, and fill the full number of the Gentiles.

Therefore, may the day come soon when all nations through Palestine become God's people and gain the joy of entering the eternal kingdom of God!
