[Field Story] Tibet, the Nation that will Proclaim the Kingdom of God
(The photo above is unrelated to the content.)
Hello. I am Pema, a Tibetan.
I was born into a family that believed in Lama Buddhism.
Because I grew up in a family with deep Buddhist devotion, I have lived my life trying to wash away my sins through good deeds and spiritual practice.
Then, I met Christian friends, and I learned that my sins were washed away once and for all through the precious blood of Jesus on the cross, not through spiritual practice.
And I accepted Jesus as my savior that very day.
Since then, I have been going to worship gatherings, worshiping with my friends, reading the Word, and learning more about Jesus.
My mother is still very deep into Buddhism, so she is against me attending worship services.
However, I am convinced that the only truth exists in Jesus, so I want to go to the place of worship until the end no matter what opposition there may be.
And I want to know the Lord more deeply through the Word.
Please pray with me so that my mother and family can also come to know the grace of Jesus who gave his life for us without any compensation, so that we can receive eternal life that comes from Jesus, not through our vain efforts and practices!
“He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” (Luke 13:18-19)
Loving God, we thank you for allowing Sister Pema, who was born into a Lama Buddhist family, to realize that her sins cannot be washed away through any actions or good deeds, and leading her to accept Jesus Christ.
Sister Pema's family opposes and persecutes worship, but please help her walk with the righteous God and overcome all difficulties with joy.
May you also add to the faith of sister Pema who confesses that she wants to spread Jesus who loves us freely, and help her become someone who witnesses the power of the cross to her family and neighbors and is used as a channel of blessing.
Therefore, through the obedient steps of one Sister Pema, may the precious blood of the Lamb that washes away our sins be proclaimed, so that Tibet and eventually China can be transformed, and God's eternal reign and presence may come among the numerous ethnic minorities.
Let the remnants like Sister Pema and the church rise together and proclaim the hope of heaven among all peoples and may the people of Tibet become a nation that fulfills its mission!
