[Field Story] Turkiye, Loving only the Lamb Jesus Christ!

Hello, I am Omar from Turkiye.

I was born into a devout Muslim family and received Islamic education while growing up.

But there was so much about the Islam that I did not understand. No matter how many times I read the Quran on my own, I was not convinced, and eventually I left Islam and became an atheist.

Then one day, I happened to meet my sister's Christian friends, and from them I heard about Jesus Christ.

As an atheist, I didn't really take it to heart, but that very night, something amazing happened to me. Jesus came to me in a dream and said to me, “I exist.”

Ever since then, I attended the Christian friends' gatherings. Nevertheless, the one thing that I could not believe was that Jesus had resurrected.

I could believe in Jesus' love, devotion, and that he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, but I could never believe in his resurrection.

However, when I read the Bible and discussed the lives of the disciples who preached the

resurrected Jesus, I could feel the disciples' faith and passion for the gospel and gradually came to accept that Jesus’ resurrection was real.

Now, I also want to live the life of a disciple who follows the resurrected Jesus. Please pray with me so that my faith, though as small as a mustard seed, can grow and bear much fruit.

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing! (Revelation 5:12)

Heavenly Father who loves Turkiye,

We thank you that a Turkish brother named Omar, who was born and raised in a devout Muslim family, heard the gospel through his sister's Christian friends and accepted Jesus.

Brother Omar, who was skeptical about the Islamic religion but had difficulty accepting the resurrection of Jesus, came to believe that this gospel was real through the stories of Jesus' disciples.

I confess that the one who gave Brother Omar this faith was Jesus Christ, the slain Lamb.

Lord, please fill Brother Omar, who now wants to live the life of a disciple of Jesus, with the

Holy Spirit every day so that he can boldly preach the gospel of the Lord to his friends and neighbors around him.

Even though his faith may be as small as the mustard seed, may you use Brother Omar’s faith and his steps of obedience to bring countless people in Turkiye back to Jesus Christ!

May the holy people in Turkiye rise up and prepare the way for the coming of the Lord, praising Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain!

May you be exalted alone, King Jesus Christ, who will soon return with the glory of resurrection!
