[Field Story] Ways to overcome hardship through joy

Hello, I am Aria and I live in Sudan

I had no hope in my life. I grew up as an orphan under my auntie and was abused many times.

My only wish in this hard life was to end this painful life quickly.

As I was about the give up my life, I met a Christian family and became close to them, then I heard about Jesus. Love of Jesus was amazing. It was unbelievable and I wished this love was true

One day, I dreamt a strange dream. I was in a dangerous situation but one man appeared, gave me a warm hug and rescued me

When I woke up from the dream, I had tears and I did not know why. My friends told me, the love of Jesus appeared to you in your dream.

In the situation where my family and friends were threatening me for meeting Jesus, my heart was becoming more confused.

If the love of Jesus is true, if he is the only saviour who can save me, please meet me so that all darkness will be casted away and please pray that I will be filled with his love

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12-13)

God, thank you for meeting Aria, who grew up as an orphan, receiving great abuse and living in suffering.

Even though she met you in her dream, she lived in fear as her family and friends threatened her. Please speak to sister Aria so that through faith in Jesus, she does not feel like she suffered in a strange situation but rejoice as she participates in suffering of Christ.

Allow her to become the bride for Jesus, who will return soon, as she becomes delighted and joyful in him. Allow her to testify the joy of faith that overcomes to world to Sudan, Africa, and to Israel.

Amidst the suffering from civil war in Sudan, may the mighty army of Cush rise up to defeat all darkness, preach the gospel throughout in all nations as those who love you more than anyone else, and fill the history of your salvation through the scattered Sudanese refugees!
