[Today's Prayer] "Bombing Attack on Bus by Rebels in Southwestern Pakistan… Dozens Killed or Injured"
In southwestern Pakistan's Balochistan province, separatist rebels carried out a bombing attack on a bus, resulting in six deaths and dozens of injuries.
On the 5th (local time), according to the Pakistani daily *Dawn* and AFP, a bus transporting members of Pakistan’s paramilitary Border Guards from Karachi, a southern city, to Turbat city in Balochistan near the Iranian border exploded on a road.
Local police reported that a suicide bomber drove a vehicle loaded with explosives into the bus and detonated it. The attack claimed at least six lives and injured more than 25. Authorities have identified the incident as a suicide bombing targeting the Border Guards.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist rebel group active in the region, claimed responsibility for the attack through a statement.
Balochistan, bordering Afghanistan and Iran, is rich in mineral resources and undergoing development by foreign investors, including China. However, rebel groups like the BLA argue that the Pakistani government and foreign investors are exploiting local resources, leaving the indigenous Baloch people with little benefit, and they demand independence.

Now I, King Artaxerxes, decree to all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates: Whatever Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you, do it immediately, up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred cors of wheat, a hundred baths of wine, a hundred baths of olive oil, and salt without limit. Whatever the God of heaven has prescribed, let it be done with diligence for the temple of the God of heaven. Why should his wrath fall on the realm of the king and of his sons? Ezra 7:21-23
Prayer for Pakistan
We have heard the heartbreaking news of a suicide bombing in Pakistan, where separatist rebels advocating for the independence of the Baloch people have caused the tragic deaths of at least six people and injuries to over 25.
The Balochistan Liberation Army, which claimed responsibility for the attack, has escalated its actions, citing the lack of benefits for the indigenous Baloch people during the development of local resources.
Lord, we ask You to comfort the families of those who lost their lives in this terrorist attack. May these devastating acts, driven by self-sacrifice for political and ethnic gain, come to a swift end.
We look to King Artaxerxes, who gave generously and carried out God’s commands without hesitation for the sake of the temple of the Lord.
May the Baloch people and the Balochistan Liberation Army turn away from seeking their own interests and become a people who devote even their lives to Your Kingdom.
Grant the churches in Pakistan the grace to forgive and not harbor hatred toward these groups. May they boldly share the gospel with them. Through the churches of Pakistan, may the Baloch people come to know Jesus, who gave His life for them, and live their lives for Him.
When those willing to give even their lives rise for the sake of God, we believe that the Baloch people of Pakistan will become mighty soldiers for the Lord!
Purify this nation, raise it as a holy army devoted to following only Your commands, and let it emerge as a powerful instrument for the gospel, reaching all nations!
