In the Gaza Strip, where hunger among residents has been worsening day by day since the outbreak of war, the suffering is worsening as food prices and other prices have skyrocketed after relief trucks were looted .

According to the Guardian on the 19th (local time), food prices have soared after 98 UNRWA trucks transporting relief supplies in the Gaza Strip were recently looted.

According to the UN, an estimated one-third of all aid supplies are looted by armed groups inside the Gaza Strip and resold to residents at exorbitant prices.

Coupled with the shortage of relief supplies, prices in the Gaza Strip have also risen sharply.

A bag of flour, which cost 40 shekels ($10 US dollars) before the war, now costs 375 shekels ($100 US dollars), and a can of powdered milk, which cost 30 shekels ($7.87 US dollars), now costs 300 shekels ($78.70 US dollars).

As the food situation worsened, Hamas-aligned security forces in Gaza began to crack down on black markets with violence, including killing merchants who stole and sold aid to feed the starving population.

Recently, merchants in the Gaza Strip have been threatened by Hamas-linked security forces with large fines and even a shot in the knee if they sell looted relief goods, the British daily Financial Times (FT) reported, citing sources.
