Hezbollah, Lebanon demands withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, citing "60 days of ceasefire violations." Na'im Qassem, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, emphasized that the group remains committed to defending Lebanon, despite Israel's continued presence in the south.
Qassem stated that Hezbollah has halted military operations but remains fully prepared. He criticized Israel for violating the ceasefire agreement, which explicitly requires Israeli forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days.
"The Hezbollah is still committed to defending Lebanon, and we have the will and power to do so," Qassem said in an interview with Al-Manar TV. "We have stopped our military operations, but we are still fully prepared."
Qassem emphasized that the ceasefire agreement clearly states that Israeli forces must withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days. "Israel has committed countless ceasefire violations over the past 60 days," he said.
Regarding domestic issues, Qassem stated that Hezbollah is committed to national defense and security, while also emphasizing the group's continued involvement in political and military matters to resist Israeli occupation.
However, Qassem noted that as long as Israel continues to violate Lebanon's rights and threaten its security, Hezbollah's military power will remain crucial to the country's defense.
Hezbollah announced that it will continue to engage in political and military activities to resist Israeli occupation as long as Israeli forces remain in Lebanon.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah was halted last November 27 through a ceasefire agreement, which required Israeli forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days. However, Israeli forces continue to occupy five strategic locations near the border, citing the need to defend against Hezbollah's ongoing aggression.

"The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!' " (John 1:29)
Lord, look at the Middle Eastern region where nations are seeking peace but are stuck in endless conflict and suffering due to their differing perspectives. The ongoing standoff between Lebanon's Hezbollah and Israel seems like an unsolvable problem.
However, we believe that the true issue is not the visible land problem, but rather that these nations need to encounter the true Jesus Christ, who brings salvation and peace.
We pray that the Lebanese and Israeli people will come to know Jesus, the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. May they realize that their salvation does not come from Hezbollah's military power or Israel's military might, but only from the Lamb of God.
During this Ramadan period, we pray that the message of salvation will be fully proclaimed among these nations, and that they will rise up as people who fulfill God's covenant. May the truth that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ be proclaimed, and may these nations come to know the one true God.
