[Today’s prayer] Israel proposes exchange of 40 hostages with 800 Palestinian prisoners

Israel has proposed exchanging 40 hostages with 800 Palestinian security prisoners in ceasefire negotiations with Hamas, a Palestinian militant group.

Israel's Channel 12, citing unnamed sources, reported on the 24th (local time) that Israel made the proposal during negotiations in Doha, Qatar, and was awaiting a response from Hamas.

The source said Israel expects a response from Hamas' Gaza ruler Yahya Sinwar in the next three days and sees a 50-50 chance of a settlement.

Last month, an arbitration proposal made by Israel, the United States, Egypt, and Qatar in Paris, France, included a proposal for Israel to release 400 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Hamas releasing 40 hostages.

Channel 12 said Israel has nearly doubled the number of exchanging hostages and prisoners.

In addition, the media reported that for the first time in the negotiations, Israel is willing to discuss ways to allow the refugees from northern Gaza to return to their residences.

However, Israel has set out conditions not specified before and has stated that it does not allow the return of adult men.

In addition, Israel has shown its stance to resume the battle with Hamas if the agreement of complete withdrawal of troops of Gaza is not followed.

Hamas, which has offered a permanent ceasefire as a condition of the hostage's release, has rejected the Israeli proposal, calling it "delusional."

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council decided to implement a resolution on the 25th calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6:12-13)

We hear that Israel has offered to trade 40 Israeli hostages and 800 Palestinian prisoners for the cease-fire negotiations between Israel and Palestinian Hamas.

Although there is a 50% chance of a settlement, Israel is much more willing as they have doubled the exchange rate between hostages and prisoners compared to previous proposals.

Lord, we see that as the war between Israel and Palestinian Hamas continues on, the conflict between these two nations deepen.

May Israel and the Palestinians realize that this is not just a battle between the flesh and blood of two nations, but a political territorial battle between rulers and the powers.

May the churches of these two nations and the Global Church established by the Lord take on the armor of God, rather than dwelling on this fight.

May the wisdom to realize who they must first oppose be poured out, so that they will be victorious and victorious as they defeat the rulers of this world and the spirit of evil in the heavens with the Gospel of Christ.

Above all, may the Lord turn the hearts of the Israelites and the Palestinian Muslims during this time of Ramadan as they are desperate for the truth and may the Holy Spirit allow the Israelites and Palestinians to realize how in vain this war is.

And so may Israel and Palestine fight against all spiritual warfare and become nations who will unite together to be victorious and wait for the day of the Lord’s return!
