[Today’s Prayer] Jordan: "Stopped Muslim Brotherhood Rocket and Drone Terror Plans"

Reuters reported on the 15th (local time) that Jordanian authorities had thwarted a terrorist plan by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Jordan's General Intelligence Directorate said 16 Muslim Brotherhood members were arrested by security forces while preparing to launch terrorist attacks using rockets and drones.

The General Intelligence Service said it had been monitoring their movements since 2021 and that there was a "conspiracy to undermine national security, create chaos and cause destruction within the country."

They have been found to have set up a hideout on the outskirts of the Jordanian capital Amman, where they have been producing rockets with a range of 3 to 5 kilometers to strike domestic targets, and have also been found to have operated a drone factory.

Security authorities analyzed that there was a high possibility that Iran or its proxy forces planned the attack, given that dozens of rockets and a large amount of explosives were found with the suspects.

Jordanian government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani told a briefing that some of the arrested suspects had received military training in Lebanon.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam spoke to his Jordanian counterpart Jafar Hassan and expressed his willingness to cooperate on the matter.

The Muslim Brotherhood has denied any involvement in the incident, saying it "pursues a peaceful political course and has operated legally for decades," Reuters reported.

The Muslim Brotherhood, a Sunni Islamic fundamentalist organization that began in Egypt in 1928, is widely active in the Arab world and even took power in Egypt for a time in 2012-2013 after the Arab Spring swept the Middle East.

God, we hear that Jordan has arrested 16 members of the Muslim Brotherhood who were preparing to carry out an attack.

Dozens of rockets and explosives have been found, and they say that Iran and its proxies are likely responsible for the attack.

We pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ will flow through the ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic fundamentalist organization that once held power in Egypt but has become a terrorist organization throughout the Arab world. May they know that politics and terrorism cannot save them, and may they be converted to share in the honor and eternal power of Christ.

We declare that you alone are blessed, the only sovereign God, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

May the LORD God come to be king among the Jordanians at this hour. Reign over the people of Jordan.

Let the gospel be witnessed to the Muslims of the Jordanian nation as soon as possible. Let the name of Jesus Christ, the only true and sovereign God, our Savior, be proclaimed among the Jordanian people.

Raise up the churches in Jordan to take up this work, and through them the gospel will reach all Muslims, so that all who hear the name of Jesus will turn to You.

Remove from them every covering that hides them, and let them put their hope in Jesus Christ alone, who is coming again!

Let the Jordanians be a nation of worshippers of the Lord, turning to the radiant God and giving Him honor and eternal power!

Let an army of believers arise in the last days that will not be deceived by the false power of Islam, but will defend their faith in You and be victorious!

Let the final revival begin through the Jordanian people, not only in Jordan, but among all the Arab nations!
