[Today’s Prayer] “More than 30,000 Lebanese refugees fled to Syria in three days... 500 shelters in operation”

It is reported that over the past three days, more than 30,000 refugees have fled across the border to Syria to avoid Israel's continued air strikes.

The UNHCR in Syria stated this, saying that as the situation in Lebanon worsens, the process of refugees continues.

He also explained that 80% of the total are people who fled to Lebanon to escape the Syrian civil war and then returned.

The United Nations also cited local aid officials and said that about 80,000 victims are housed in 500 shelters in Lebanon.

Among the evacuation centers, 300 are school buildings, resulting in damage to 100,000 students.

The United Nations, along with some countries, has begun supplying relief supplies such as food, drinking water, and mattresses to Lebanese refugees.

The World Food Program previously announced that it was stockpiling enough food to last 250,000 people for five days, and the Palestine Relief Organization was also supplying mattresses and blankets to newly created refugees.

There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. (Psalms 86:8-10)

Loving God, we are hearing that more than 30,000 refugees have fled to Syria due to the ground battle between the Israeli army and southern Lebanon.

Although the situation continues to worsen and seems never-ending to human eyes, we believe that God is the owner of the whole earth and is in control of all history.

It is said that 80% of all refugees are people who fled to Lebanon to escape the Syrian civil war and then return to Syria. At this time when the procession of refugees continues continuously, please help thirsty refugees with nowhere to go find the Lord and allow the work of salvation to take place.

Only thing that the world church can do for this land that continues to be filled with the spirit of death and war is prayer. When we pray together, may the Lord end all wars and work toward salvation!

May the day come when the Lebanese people, whom God created, confess that they are not refugees but missionaries spreading the gospel, bow before you, and give glory to your name!
