“and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Psalm 50:15)

Lord, we hear that the most powerful typhoon of the year is wreaking havoc in Asia.

As so many people have been evacuated from China, we ask you to comfort and help them. Heal the wounded and comfort the families of those who have lost their lives, that we may be a people who experience your healing and helping hand.

How vulnerable we are in the face of natural disasters and calamities. We confess that we cannot live without Your presence with us. May we live each day in the thrill of Your salvation and be among the peoples of China and Asia who recognize that You are sovereign over us.

May we be the ones who seek your name in the midst of life's crises. May God's peace be upon them and may He protect and deliver them from all suffering and tribulation!

May the churches of China and Asia be strengthened in faith and prayer for people in need. Through the love and service of the church, may the souls of these peoples see the face of Jesus and take steps to realize His love.

Be free from all natural disasters and suffering, and realize the power of salvation in the midst of tribulation!
