[Today's Prayer] The United States presses ahead with additional attacks in Yemen… Middle East crisis reconsidered (supplementary report)

A day after the United States launched an attack on Houthi rebel positions in Yemen, it carried out additional attacks on Houthi bases.

On the 13th (local time), CNN reported, citing a U.S. official, that the U.S. military carried out an attack the night before, targeting a radar facility used by Houthi rebels. The official added that this attack was much smaller in scope than the airstrike on the 11th.

Reuters also reported, citing two U.S. officials, that U.S. forces were carrying out additional attacks against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Al-Mashira TV, run by Houthi rebels, reported early this morning that "US-British enemy forces are targeting the capital Sanaa with several airstrikes."

According to Middle Eastern media outlet Al Jazeera, a Houthi military spokesman said that more than 73 bombings had taken place in the past 48 hours, killing and injuring numerous people. At least five people are reported to have died.

The strike came after the White House said it was working to avoid escalation.

John Kirby, the White House National Security Council (NSC) Strategic Communications Coordinator, emphasized in an interview with CNN that day, "Everything we are doing, everything we are trying to do is to prevent escalation."

Previously, the United States and the United Kingdom carried out airstrikes on 28 targets in Yemen, which are controlled by Yemen's Houthi rebels, on the 11th.

The United States has hinted that additional military action is likely if the Houthi rebels continue their drone and missile attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea.

U.S. President Joe Biden emphasized, "This airstrike is a response to attacks carried out by Houthi rebels in international waters," and added, "We will not hesitate to order further action following airstrikes against Houthi targets." He added that Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands supported the operation.

However, the UK maintains that it has no plans for additional airstrikes. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunnack said: "No further attacks are planned, but we will keep our security plans under review."

When he saw the wind, he was afraid and was sinking. He cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught hold of him, and he said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” They got into the boat with him, and the wind died down. And those in the boat asked Jesus. And he bowed down to him and said, “Truly you are the Son of God” (Matthew 14:30-33)

God, I heard that the U.S. military conducted several airstrikes on Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, in response to Houthi rebels attacking a commercial ship in the Red Sea.

However, a spokesman for Yemen's Houthi rebels stated that they would continue to block ship traffic through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, and emphasized that the United States would not hesitate to order additional measures against the Houthi rebels' actions.

Lord, I ask you to have pity on the souls of Yemen, who are constantly being attacked and in fear during this process.

This nation, which has suffered from severe economic difficulties and disorder due to a civil war that has lasted for several years, is still under attack and is in a situation that seems to be incapable of getting better.

Lord, we confess that the only savior of this nation is our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pour out the Holy Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of truth, upon this hopeless nation and guide the souls of Yemen to seek and cry out for a true savior.

We believe that when the Yemeni people come crying out, ‘Lord, save me,’ the Lord will immediately reach out and grab this people, rescue them, and save them. Please pour faith in the Lord from heaven upon the Yemeni people. .

Please allow the souls of Yemen, who were trembling in fear because of their faith, to stand up boldly and bow to Jesus, and bring gold and frankincense as promised, and spread the praises of Jehovah.

At that time, may all the Arab peoples around Yemen who were suffering from war hear the hymn together and look to Jesus Christ, the only savior of this world, and may true peace through Jesus come quickly to all the nations at war!
