[Today’s Prayer] "Turkish defense industry attacked…casualties reported"

Reuters and other news agencies reported that a fatal attack occurred on the Turkiye Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) near the Turkish capital Ankara on the 23rd (local time).

"There was a terrorist attack on the TUSAS facility in Karamankazan, Ankara," Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on social media X (formerly Twitter). "Unfortunately, there are victims and injuries."

"The cause of the explosion and subsequent shooting remains unclear, with some media outlets reporting it was a suicide attack," Reuters reported of the attack targeting the defense company.

"Emergency rescue teams have arrived at the scene," the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.

TUSAS is one of the most important defense and aviation companies in Turkey. It is working on various projects, including the production of Turkey's first national fighter aircraft (KAAN).

“Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. (Daniel 9:17-18)
