[Today’s Prayer] US, 'Emergency' on Middle East, North Korea, China, Russia threats before and after presidential election

With the US presidential election, which is being held amidst the most extreme divisions of all time, tensions in the Middle East are continuing to rise, with Iran’s attitude rapidly changing to become more hostile in the past few days. Furthermore, even after the election is over, it is too early for US security authorities to let their guard down. This is because they must prepare for the possibility that hostile countries such as North Korea, China, Russia, and Iran will actively exploit the internal chaos that may occur after the election, after the votes are counted and approved by Congress, and until the new president is inaugurated on January 20th of next year.

According to a comprehensive foreign news report on the 2nd (local time), Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened that if Israel attacks Iran, “there will be an overwhelming response.” This has led to speculation that the Iranian Supreme Leader, who has been observed to be cautious, has decided to launch a retaliatory attack on Israel.

In addition, the Joe Biden administration is strengthening its vigilance against foreign attempts to destabilize or threaten the United States during the presidential transition period. The U.S. Department of Defense is focusing on preparing for potential threats to the United States from countries such as Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea after the presidential election, and U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies are also preparing for tactics by Russia and others to create distrust and discord over the election results.

A senior defense official who requested anonymity told The Washington Post that the Pentagon is “preparing for a variety of scenarios that could occur between Election Day and Inauguration Day, Jan. 20.” The official added that “we are thinking about who might try to exploit this period, checking signals with allies and partners everywhere, and making sure they have contingency plans in place.”

“To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone” (Titus 3:2)

With the presidential election in the United States getting close, we hear that tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate with Iran.

In response to this, the United States is taking a step toward war, preparing fighter jets, bombers, etc. to prevent potential threats from hostile countries such as Russia, China, and Iran in the future.

Lord, we believe that since the founding of the United States, you have called us to be a nation dedicated to serving Jesus, sending out many missionaries to serve the nations of the world.

Help America to remember this first love, and as Jesus Christ said to love even our enemies and forgive without cost, help America to love and forgive without cost, rather than confront our enemies!

Let America embrace its enemies in the Middle East, North Korea, China, Russia, and other hostile nations without slander, without quarreling, and with tolerance, but first with the love of the cross!

As the Church in the United States unites in the Word, always interceding with a meek heart, let the world church rise up as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, united in Jesus Christ!

We know that the local churches in the Middle East, China, Iran, and Russia are standing in faith and intercession. May they be bold to stand up to governments that lead wars and spare the lives of young people, and bold to proclaim the gospel!

And may Jesus Christ, through His Church, restore peoples and nations, put an end to wars, and come as the Prince of Peace!
